How information is collected

Each article draws on publicly available material: company announcements, regulatory filings, court records, and news coverage from established outlets. We do not rely on unverified forum posts, social media rumors, or anonymous tips as primary sources.

How sources are verified

Where possible, we cross-reference at least two independent sources — for example, a company's own announcement alongside independent news coverage — before presenting a claim as confirmed fact. Where independent verification is not yet available, the claim is labeled as analysis or flagged as an editorial placeholder rather than presented as settled.

How current status is determined

A property's "current status" (open, closed, demolished, under construction, etc.) is based on the most recent verifiable public information available at the time an article was last updated. Because construction and redevelopment timelines change, we mark any detail that requires reconfirmation as an editorial placeholder rather than guessing at a current date.

How closure reasons are determined

Where a company or regulator has issued a public statement about why a property closed, we present that statement as an official statement rather than an independently confirmed fact, even when we have no reason to doubt it. Where we draw our own conclusions from financial records, market context, or reporting patterns, we label that content clearly as analysis.

How facts are separated from analysis

Every article uses three consistent labels:

• Fact — independently verifiable information, such as opening and closing dates.
• Official statement — a claim made by a company, owner, or regulator, presented as their statement rather than independently confirmed fact.
• Analysis — our own editorial interpretation or projection, clearly distinguished from confirmed fact.

We do not present rumors, unconfirmed reports, or speculation as confirmed fact under any of these labels.

How articles are updated

Articles include a publication date and a last-updated date. When a property's status changes — for example, a construction milestone or a new ownership announcement — we aim to update the relevant article and note the new update date. Because this is a small, independent project without a live newsroom, updates happen periodically rather than in real time.

How readers can report errors

If you believe an article contains an error — a wrong date, an outdated status, or a misattributed statement — please use the contact form and select "Correction / Error report" as your reason for contact. Include the article name and, where possible, a source supporting the correction.
